What is Hyaluronic Acid, and how does it work in our skin?

Hyaluronic Acid is a glycosaminoglycan, a type of molecule that is naturally found in our body, and is a long chain of sugars that can bind to water molecules and hold onto them. A key component of the extracellular matrix, it provides structural support to our skin and other tissues. With an incredible ability to hold water, it can retain up to 1000 times its weight in moisture.
